Dr. Karla Henderson is professor in the Dept. of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at North Carolina State University. She has also been on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin and Texas Woman's University and has served as president of SPRE, president of the AAHPERD Research Consortium, President of the Academy of Leisure Sciences and on state, national and international boards. Panel Chair.
Ian Cooper has over 30 years experience in public and commercial sector leisure management is currently Director of his own Cambridge based management consultancy, Ian Cooper Associates. He specializes in "hands on" executive management troubleshooting and public sector strategic leisure planning. His background includes senior responsibilities for the public leisure, tourism and cultural services of both the university cities of Oxford and Cambridge. His earlier career included management of public leisure services in three other towns. In the commercial sector Ian has worked in Dubai UAE where he was responsible for sports operations in two commercial hotels and a major ice rink/dry skiing centre in England. He has undertaken in excess of 200 consultancy assignments; and has provided many magazine articles. He is a referee for Managing Leisure, the international journal.
Henny Oldenhove is the Director of Sport and Recreation ACT in the state government of the Australian Capital Territory and has been instrumental in the development of national sports initiatives. She was a Board member of Hockey Australia, Secretary/Treasurer of the Oceania Hockey Federation and member of the International Hockey Federation's Development and Coaching Committee.
Wei Xiaoan is a senior researcher of the Tourism Research Center, China's Academy of Social Sciences. He was Director of Planning and Finance of National Tourism Administration, Vice President of China Domestic Tourism Association and General Supervisor of Quality Supervision and Administration in the Department of National Tourism Administration.
Pang Xue Quan is professor on Foreign Philosophy and Vice Secretary of the Communist Party Committee at Zhejiang University. He is a member of German International New Phenomenology Association and Member of National Modern Philosophy Association. His research areas include Leisure Culture.
Pierre Morin recently retired from the Ville de Montreal in Canada, having been Director of Culture, Sports, Recreation and Social Development. He is now in consultancy. He was a board member of the Regroupement quebecois du loisir municipal, Vice-President of the Association quebecoise du loisir municipal, and is chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association..
Patrick Nanty is Principal Secretary, Department of Sports & Culture, Ministry of Local Government, Sports and Culture and Chairman, National Sports Council, Seychelles. He is actively involved in policy and strategic planning for cultural tourism, sports tourism, community facilities development and Sports For All. He has served on a number of national committees.
